Google Drive: Activity - New!

Google Drive recently released a new feature that can help you to see the latest activity on files and folders in your Drive.

The feature is called Activity, and it's located on the right side of your Google Drive.  The Activity list shows the names of people who have recently edited, shared, or left a comment on an item in your Drive (owned by you or shared with you), the name of the item they were editing. and the time it was last edited.  The most recently edited item will appear at the top of the list.  You can then click on the item from within the activity stream to open it up and check it out.

Teachers will like the Activity stream because...

  • As soon as you open up your Drive, you can see which students have recently been working on a file, and you can check out their latest work with only one click.

Students will like the Activity stream because...

  • You'll be able to easily keep track of changes made on group projects, including any new comments left on shared files.
